What is the Sorare NBA Marketplace? How do I buy Sorare NBA Cards?

The Sorare NBA Marketplace includes New Card Auctions and Manager Sales

New Card Auctions allow you to buy newly minted cards directly from Sorare, meaning you will be the first-ever owner of that specific card. Each auction has an expiration date and time when the card will be sold; if you are the highest bidder when the auction expires, you'll win that card and it will be added to your collection. This is the only way to purchase newly minted cards.

To purchase newly minted cards directly from Sorare visit the New Card Auctions via the Market tab of sorare.com/nba:

  • Use the filters on the left to find the card you want
  • When you are ready, click on the Bid button
  • A pop-up asking for a credit card or ETH payment will appear
  • Choose your payment method, define your bid amount, and click on Bid to place your bid
  • You may have to validate card payments via 3DS (authentication system to detect fraud); open your bank's mobile app or check your phone (SMS) to validate the bid
  • For payments using your Sorare wallet, choose ETH as your payment method, define your bid, make sure you have sufficient ETH in your wallet, and then click on Bid to place your bid

Manager Sales allows Sorare NBA managers to list cards from their collection, creating a direct peer-to-peer secondary marketplace. This is the only way to add a card to your collection instantly, without waiting for an auction to conclude.

To purchase existing Sorare NBA cards directly from another manager, visit the Manager Sales via the Market tab of sorare.com/nba:

  • Use the filters on the left to find the card you want
  • When you are ready, click on the Buy button
  • Choose your payment method, define your bid amount, and click on Buy to buy the player’s card; please note that there are fees (1%) for direct purchase with a credit card
  • You may have to validate card payments via 3DS (authentication system to detect fraud); open your bank's mobile app or check your phone (SMS) to validate the transaction
  • For payments using your Sorare wallet, choose ETH as your payment method, then define your bid, make sure you have sufficient ETH in your wallet, and then click on Buy to buy your player card.
  • For each sale on the secondary market, Sorare will receive a 5% market fee, (inclusive of tax if applicable). For example, if you sell a card for $100, you will receive a net $95. There is no fee to list a card on the marketplace.
