About the service
The conversion service is provided by our independent partner, Bridge.
Sorare provides access to this service through its interface. Bridge is responsible for converting crypto-assets into euros, carrying out the associated regulatory checks and processing the payout. The conversion may involve third-party liquidity providers and blockchain infrastructure.
Once the conversion has been successfully completed, the resulting euros are credited to your Mangopay Cash Wallet.
Which crypto-assets can be converted?
The conversion service is currently available only for ETH.
Other crypto-assets, including SOL, are not supported by this conversion service.
Is there a minimum amount required to convert my ETH?
Yes. To be eligible for conversion, the ETH you wish to convert must be worth at least €10 at the time of your request. If the value of your ETH is below this minimum amount, the conversion cannot be processed.
How does the conversion work?
When you request a conversion, the selected amount of ETH is converted into euros based on the market conditions at the time the transaction is executed.
The resulting euros are then credited to your Mangopay Cash Wallet.
Where will my euros be credited?
Once the conversion has been successfully completed, the euros are credited to your Mangopay Cash Wallet.
Why is the displayed amount only an estimate?
The amount displayed before you confirm the conversion is an estimate based on the market conditions at the time you view the screen.
The final amount may vary depending on market conditions, slippage, applicable fees and the time at which the conversion is actually executed.
Slippage refers to the difference between the estimated amount displayed before the conversion and the amount actually received when the conversion is executed.
This difference may occur if market conditions change between the time you confirm your request and the time the conversion is completed.
What is the minimum accepted amount?
Before confirming your conversion, you will be shown a minimum amount in euros.
This is the minimum amount you agree to receive for the conversion to be executed. If this minimum amount cannot be met, the conversion will not proceed.
What happens if the minimum accepted amount cannot be met?
If market conditions change such that the minimum accepted amount can no longer be met, the conversion is automatically cancelled.
Your ETH remain available in your wallet and no euros will be credited to your Cash Wallet.
Why do I need to verify my identity with Bridge?
To comply with its regulatory obligations, Bridge carries out an identity verification before your first conversion request.
This verification is performed by Bridge and is separate from any verification carried out by Mangopay to activate or use your Cash Wallet. Until your Bridge verification has been successfully completed, you will not be able to submit a conversion request.
What happens if my conversion is declined or cannot be executed?
In exceptional circumstances, a conversion may not be completed due to technical, regulatory or market-related reasons.
If this happens, you will be informed accordingly. Your ETH will remain in your blockchain wallet until the conversion has been successfully completed and no euros will be credited to your Cash Wallet.
How long does a conversion take?
The processing time may vary depending on any regulatory checks that need to be completed and the operational conditions applicable at the time of your request.
Once the conversion has been successfully executed, the euros are generally credited to your Cash Wallet within a few minutes.
Are any fees charged?
Any applicable fees, where applicable, are already taken into account when calculating the estimated amount shown to you.
Do I need a Mangopay Cash Wallet to use the conversion service?
Yes. The conversion service is only available to users who have a Cash Wallet operated by Mangopay.
If you do not yet have a Cash Wallet, you will be prompted to create one before you can use the conversion service.
In some cases, Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) may also be required to activate or use your Cash Wallet, in accordance with Mangopay's regulatory obligations.
