- Why do I need to verify my identity?
Verifying your identity is necessary to access JONUM competitions and receive all associated rewards. First, it ensures that all players are over 18 years old, in order to protect minors. It also helps prevent fraud and combat money laundering, by allowing us to comply with our legal obligations. More broadly, this verification is part of the new JONUM regime, which aims to promote a responsible gaming environment and protect the most vulnerable audiences.
👉 If you have already verified your identity as part of your Mangopay Cash Wallet, you will not need to repeat this process.
👉 If your identity is not verified, certain features will be limited: rewards in crypto-assets (ETH or SOL) as well as cards cannot be immediately attributed to you and will be held by Sorare until verification is completed.
- I have already verified my identity when opening the Mangopay Cash Wallet
If you have already verified your identity as part of the Mangopay Cash Wallet, you will only need to set your Gaming Limits to validate the verification of your Account and participate in JONUM competitions without any restrictions.
- How does the identity verification process work?
The identity verification process takes only a few minutes and is handled by our partner Mangopay, an electronic money institution licensed in the European Union.
During the identity verification process, you will be asked to:
- Confirm basic information such as your country of residence and nationality;
- Upload an official identity document, the generally accepted forms of identification being:
- Passport
- Driver's license
- Government-issued ID card
- Residence permit
Identity verification by Mangopay can take up to 24 hours, but generally takes between 5 and 10 minutes on average.
After this, your account will be verified. Any rewards you may have obtained during the 30-day period without identity verification will be granted to you.
- What happens if I don't verify my identity within 30 days?
If you have not verified your identity within 30 days, your account will not be verified and:
- you will no longer be able to participate in JONUM Competitions,
- the rewards in cards or crypto (ETH or SOL) that you may have won since the beginning of your account verification process will remain suspended.
You can always restart the account verification process after this 30-day period, but all rewards suspended up to that point may be permanently lost.
- What happens if my account verification request is rejected?
If your identity verification cannot be completed, you will no longer be able to participate in JONUM Competitions and any rewards potentially obtained (cards and/or cryptocurrencies) since the beginning of the account verification process will be permanently lost.
You can restart your account verification at any time and, if eligible, access JONUM Competitions. However, please note: even in case of a successful new verification, rewards not attributed following the failure of the previous process cannot be recovered.
