What is In-Season vs. Classic Competitions? What’s the difference?

In-Season Competitions refers to any competition that requires in-season, or current season cards to play. At the moment, this refers to Sorare NBA cards that have been released in the 2024-25’ NBA Season.

Classic Competitions on the other hand, refers to any competition that do not require in-season, or current season cards to play. This refers to Sorare NBA cards that have been released in the 2023-24’ NBA Season and before.

Aside from card seasonality requirements, the biggest difference between In-Season and Classic Competitions are their prize pools. In-Season competitions offer up to $45,000 in total cash rewards per Game Week, as well as Reward Boxes (which contain both Essence and Cards). Classic Competitions do not offer cash, but instead offer In-Season Cards as well as Reward Boxes (which contain both Essence and Cards).

Offering both In-Season and Classic competitions ensure that Managers have the ability to win amazing cash rewards, while maintaining utility for their Classic galleries.
