Crafting Flow
To craft a card, spend 1,000 Essence to receive a draw of 10 face-down cards. You choose one to keep. After making your choice, the remaining 9 cards are revealed, so you can see what you missed.
If you’re not satisfied with your pick, you can return the selected card for a partial Essence refund. Exact refund amounts will be shared closer to the launch of the new crafting system.
Tiers
Cards are sorted into 5 tiers per league, based on real-life playing time and performance:

Star and Icon share the same crafting odds and special-pull pool — there's no separate, better odds tier for Icons specifically. When a Clue points to the "Highest Tier," a Star or Icon result will simply be flagged as 4- or 5-star.

League Clue cost
- 1,000 Essence for a standard draw, or for the Full Roster and Special Key special draws.
- 2,000 Essence for the Special Star and Full Key special draws.
Note: the Full Roster and Special Key draws do not double the Essence cost of using a Clue — every other special draw does.
Essence Rules
Essence still inherits the “flavor” of the competition it was earned from. This affects the pool of players you can get when crafting. However, Crafting Clues gives you more control over which card to pick.
Currently, there is no limit to how much Essence you can hold. Sorare will monitor usage and may introduce limits in the future if necessary.
What competition will my card be eligible for?
Your card’s eligibility will depend on the core competitions you won Essence from – Champion, Challenger, Contender, U23, Bundesliga, LaLiga, Premier League, Ligue 1, Jupiler Pro League, and Eredivisie.
If you won 70% of your Essence from LaLiga and 30% from the Ligue 1 competition, you will have a 70% chance of crafting a card eligible for the LaLiga competition and a 30% chance of crafting a card eligible for the Ligue 1 competition.
