How Identity Verification Works

Certain actions may require identity verification to ensure a trustworthy environment for Sorare Managers and enhance the user experience of the Sorare Wallet System.

While we acknowledge that no identification process can guarantee absolute certainty of someone's identity, we are committed to taking proactive measures. Identity verification is conducted by Mangopay, and Sorare does not store or have access to user IDs.

How the process works:

  1. As part of the identity verification process, we may ask you to provide us with photo(s) of your government-issued ID. This could be a driving license, passport, or identity card (dependent on your nationality).

  2. The verification process begins and can take up to 24 hours to be approved. 
  3. Once your identity is verified, you will be able to make withdrawals, deposits, and claim your competition rewards through your Cash Wallet!

Having trouble?

Check your Notifications: You may have to upload your ID again if your ID could not be verified.

These are the potential reasons as to why your ID may have not been approved:

  • The ID document is not clear enough. Take photos in a well-lit room, checking that your image is clear and not blurry and that no information is cut-off. 
  • The ID document is in black and white color. Make sure the photo does not have diminished colors.
  • The ID document has expired. Make sure to upload the most updated ID document you have.  
  • The document submitted is not a passport, identity card, or driver’s license. 
  • There was no ID document submitted or it was either missing an image (like the back of a driver’s license).
  • The name on the ID document does not match the name that was submitted. 
  • The ID document seems to be fraudulent.
