Wallet (Crypto) - FAQ

Important informations

  • The 2 only accepted cryptocurrencies are ETH and SOL.
  • The "deposit available funds" functionality is only available for ETH.
  • It is not possible to use any L2 network (Base, Binance, Optimism, etc) for deposits. Please only use the L1 layer.

I made a deposit and can't see my ETH on Sorare

First, please double-check that you have made your deposit directly to your ETH Wallet public address and through the Ethereum network.

If yes, please open a ticket and include the transaction hash.

What network should I use to fund my ETH Wallet?

You have many options to fund your Sorare Wallet but if you decide to send funds directly to your Sorare public address from a cryptocurrency platform, please make sure to make the deposit through the Ethereum network. Otherwise, your funds could be lost.

In that case, we will not be able to help you and we encourage you to contact the service you used for the deposit to try and retrieve your funds.

My deposit is taking longer than expected

Your funds are safe and on their way, but based on the deposit wallet used and the Ethereum network, occasionally it can take a bit more time (between a few minutes to a few hours).

We cannot handle Moonpay, Ramp, or other wallet provider deposit issues ourselves. In the case of checking on a deposit, we encourage you to reach out directly to your deposit wallet's customer support team.

Why is my ETH withdrawal slow and can you make it faster?

We cannot accelerate withdrawals to external wallets.

If there is a delay with your withdrawal, it is likely because the Ethereum network is busy and gas fees are high. Gas fees are payments made to cover the cost of the computing energy required to process transactions on the Ethereum blockchain. Here is a more technical explanation of gas fees.

The busier the network, the higher the gas fees will be to process transactions. This can also result in delays with transactions. You can see how busy the network is on Etherscan.

How do I cancel a withdrawal from my Sorare ETH/SOL Wallet?

If you started a withdrawal but canceled via your external wallet, your ETH/SOL will get 'locked' and won't be visible in your Sorare Wallet.

To return the balance to your wallet:

  • Visit the Withdraw page of your wallet
  • Click on Cancel Withdrawal

Once completed, your ETH/SOL balance will return to your Sorare Wallet.

Please note that once a withdrawal has been confirmed by clicking the link in the  "Confirm your withdrawal" email, we will not be able to cancel it.

I cancelled my withdrawal and now I have 0 ETH/SOL balance

Don't worry, your ETH/SOL didn't disappear. If you started a withdrawal but interrupted the process, your ETH/SOL will get 'locked' and won't be visible in your ETH/SOL Wallet balance.

To return the balance to your wallet:

  • Visit the Withdraw page of your wallet
  • Click on Cancel Withdrawal

Once completed, your ETH/SOL balance will return to your ETH/SOL Wallet.
